So my sweet, sweet baby boys are both officially gone now. Diego went to a jackpot home several months ago, and honestly, I was planning on hanging onto sweet James. I told Michael that I would keep him up for adoption, but ONLY if I found the jackpot home for him.
Well, the jackpot home came through right around Christmas. I knew I wasn't being fair to hang onto him when there was a great family ready to welcome him into their home. So I said I would do the home visit, still not thinking it was going to amount to anything. Then it became even more clear that his time with me was going to soon come to an end.
I'm not going to lie, I miss him dearly!!! And I cried when I had to give him up. However, I know that it only allows me to get another dog to rescue. So it's the one reason I can justify giving him to a great home.
I'm going to miss him, but I know it's for the best!
